To verify McAfee Agent / ePO server communications:
- Right-Click on the Red M in the task tray.
- Right-Click on the McAfee Agent.
- Click on Status Monitor.
- Click on “Check New Policies”.
- Watch for errors in the status monitor window.
- If you see any errors, or a message containing “Failed to upload package ePO server”, follow the McAfee Agent fix directions below.
McAfee Agent Fix:
- Download epo.zip (attached).
- Extract all files in epo.zip
- Double-Click epo.bat
- Click Run
- A console window will open and automatically run the remove agent command.
- Once that has finished click OK.
- A second command to reinstall the McAfee Agent will automatically begin.
- Once that has finished click OK one more time.
- During this process, the red M in the task tray will disappear and then reappear.
- When it reappears, re-run the verify process at the beginning of this document.
